Description

Plano Concave Cylindrical Lenses – Precision Beam Divergence & Line Shaping

Description:

Plano Concave Cylindrical Lenses feature one flat (plano) surface and one concave cylindrical surface, which diverges collimated light along a single axis to form a linear beam. This uniaxial optical behavior makes them ideal for applications requiring controlled beam expansion, line width adjustment, or laser beam shaping. Unlike spherical lenses, they only affect light propagation in one dimension, preserving the collimation of orthogonal rays.

Materials:

BK7 / H-K9L: Cost-effective, high transmittance in VIS-NIR, suitable for general industrial and laboratory use

Fused Silica (JGS1/JGS2): Ultra-low thermal expansion, high UV transmittance, excellent laser damage resistance for high-power laser systems

Sapphire: Extreme hardness, high thermal conductivity, ideal for harsh environments and high-temperature applications
