Description

Gold Mirrors – Broadband Infrared Reflectivity for Thermal & Laser Applications

Description:

Gold Mirrors are protected metallic mirrors with a gold reflective layer, which provides exceptionally high reflectivity (>96%) across the near-infrared (NIR) to mid-infrared (MIR) spectrum (700nm – 10µm). The gold layer is protected by a durable dielectric overcoat (SiO₂) to prevent tarnishing and improve scratch resistance, making them ideal for infrared lasers, thermal imaging, and spectroscopy.

Materials:

BK7: Standard substrate for general IR applications

Fused Silica: High thermal stability and laser damage resistance for high-power IR lasers

Sapphire: Extreme hardness and thermal conductivity for harsh industrial environments

ZnSe / Ge: IR-transparent substrates for MIR applications (optional)

Features:

Broadband high reflectivity in NIR-MIR spectrum

Protective SiO₂ overcoat for long-term durability

Low scatter and high surface finish

Good thermal conductivity to dissipate heat

Compatibility with high-power IR lasers
